The Morning Desert Safari is a shorter, quieter alternative to the evening tours. Instead of waiting for sunset, you head out in an air-conditioned Toyota SUV 4x4 (Land Cruiser) from anywhere in Dubai or Sharjah and drive to the high dunes to watch the sun come up over the sand.
This special combination morning tour to the deserts of Dubai introduces you to the traditions of the desert and gives you the chance to bash some dunes. The 4-hour safari lets you experience a complete desert adventure. Start with a roller coaster drive in the desert by 4WD vehicle: the dune bashing lasts about 40 to 45 minutes, with a photo stop on top of the dunes.
Follow this with a modern desert adventure as you skid down the high sand dunes. You can try your hand at sandboarding, or attempt to sand ski down a dune.
Continue onwards to a friendly Bedouin desert camp. At camp, join your Bedouin guides and take a camel ride of about 20 minutes through the dunes. Travel on the ships of the desert, just as nomads have done for thousands of years. The camel ride completes the activities.
Refreshments are light: a cold drink, a bottle of water and a soft juice. There is no dinner, no shows and no henna in this package, which makes it a good fit for travellers who want a taste of the desert without giving up an evening.
Because the sun is lower and the temperature is milder in the morning, it is a comfortable option for families and anyone who finds the evening crowds too much. You are dropped back at your location afterwards, arriving in the city by noon.
