The Basic Desert Safari is the most affordable way to see the Dubai dunes at sunset. Discover the desert outside of Dubai on a guided Red Dunes desert safari and enjoy the opportunity to take part in a variety of activities, including thrilling dune bashing and a serene camel ride.
You will be picked up from your hotel or selected location in Dubai in an air-conditioned 4x4 vehicle by your guide. From there, you'll be taken comfortably to the Dubai desert, with a brief stop along the way to adjust the tyre pressure for a smooth desert drive. During this time, you can use the restroom facilities, take photos with falcons, or try optional quad biking if you're interested.
Once at the desert, get ready for an exciting session of dune bashing with trained drivers for roughly 30 to 40 minutes. The thrill of sliding down the dunes adds extra fun to your adventure, making it unforgettable. Your driver then stops for sunset photos in the dunes. Afterward, try your hand at sandboarding down the sandy slopes, perfect for snapping memorable photos of the beautiful desert landscape.
Once you reach the camp you are welcomed with Arabic coffee and fresh dates. Between the dunes and dinner there is plenty to try: a short camel ride in the open desert, henna painting, and a shisha corner if you fancy it. Soft drinks, tea, coffee and water are served without limit.
As night falls, dinner is a BBQ and buffet with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian choices. The evening show line-up includes a belly dance, a fire show and a Tanoura dance performance, so there is something to watch while you eat. As the tour comes to an end, you'll be comfortably dropped off back at your hotel or selected location, having experienced the best of Dubai's desert activities and hospitality.
This is a shared group experience with standard camp seating, which is what keeps the price low. If you want table service, a dedicated seating area, costume photos and a different dune route, the VIP Desert Safari is the step up. Quad bikes and buggy rides are not part of the price and can be arranged separately at an extra cost.
