This day trip takes you from Dubai across the UAE-Oman border to Dibba in the Musandam region, often called the Norway of Arabia for its fjord-like inlets and cliffs. You are picked up in Dubai and driven to Dibba, where you board a traditional wooden dhow.
The dhow cruise lasts about five hours and passes between the Hajar Mountains, rocky coves and quiet beaches. Calm water makes it a good place to swim and snorkel among fish and corals. A banana ride is also included, and you may spot dolphins, although sightings are not guaranteed.
A continental buffet lunch is served on board, along with soft drinks, snacks and fruit juices during the cruise. Pickup and drop-off are included, and the team arranges your visa paperwork if needed.
Border rules matter here. Guests must bring their original passport and send their details at least three working days before the tour. Trips can occasionally be cancelled for sea or weather conditions, although this is uncommon.
